Tutors meet regularly with students enrolled in courses or for feedback and self-improvement. They must have superior knowledge of tutor area. It can be for one time appointment or on-going basis.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist students with organization, time management and basic academic questions
- Capable of providing constructive feedback
- Tutor students in a particular subject area
- Capable of working independently
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability
- Document reports onto Starfish
- Regular Tutor training within a month of hiring
- Participate in meetings/training
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Good signing and receptive skills
- Have ‘B' or higher in grade in course(s) to be tutored
- Cover letter
- Current resume
- One-page essay explaining why you want to be a Tutor
